Our Story
Our love story began way back in 6th grade when we were in class 694 together. Joey thought I hated him however, truth was, I had a huge crush on him. I was too shy to ever say anything to him, and would act like a complete weirdo near him. During the seventh grade, I would often approach him in the hallway to give a friendly hug and then walk away with my heart beating faster than a hummingbird's wings. Eighth grade approached and my eyes were still set on him, but we were graduating soon, and it quickly became a 'now or never' situation. Then on February 14th of 2008, I confessed, and surprisingly Joey admitted he had felt the same way about me.
Valentine's Day of 2008 marks the beginning of our story. Throughout the 10 years they've been together, they've encountered the most ridiculous and unbelievable obstacles that life had to offer. Through the passing of his adopted mother, then the passing of his biological mother, followed by the loss of his biological father, it hasn't been easy for the both of us especially when we were mere teenagers. Along with these deaths, we were forced to deal with the repercussions of taking care of his adopted father who wasn't the easiest nor best person to tend to. We'd often have to clean up after his poor choices, not to mention we were also caring for Justin, Joey's younger biological brother who has cerebral palsy and autism. We literally had the world on their shoulders. For many years, we were struggling to find their way out, feeling obligated to stay and deal with everything.
But here we are as we embark on this never ending love story together as Mr. & Mrs.

I'M ENGAGED!
I don't even know where to begin! I am engaged...ENGAGED! I have been dreaming and waiting for this my whole life. I am so happy (more than words could describe), so excited (to the point that I can't sleep at night), and also a bit anxious about the whole wedding planning process (because it's obviously my first -and last- time!).
However, let's start with why I named this blog, "Let Love Grow".
We all know those people who have envisioned their weddings since they were in the womb right? Well, turns out I'm one of them but with a twist. My ideas are everywhere! If you were ever like me and binge watched David Tutera's My Fair Wedding, and always hoped to be on it, I'm the bride that has everything laid out on the table even if it's too outrageous or farfetched.
So that's where Let Love Grow stemmed from. I've grown up with my fiancé -*freaking out that he's my fiancé*- since we were about 13. I'll probably do a post about how we met, and tell you a bit more about our relationship, so stay tuned!
Originally I was in love with the idea of a Fall wedding, with burgundy, black, and gold, as my color scheme however, I felt that I needed the theme to really resonate with our relationship so that's when I presented the idea of letting love grow to Joseph (my fiancé), and he fell in love with the idea so that is what we're sticking with!
Follow along the journey as I attempt to plan this ~non-bank breaking~ wedding while finishing up my undergraduate courses!
